Your role in a nutshell
We are recruiting a Clinical & Claims Global Lead to join our R&D team. Reporting directly to the Head of Research & Formula Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our product development ambitions, with the exciting responsibility to provide strategic insights, data, and recommendations on all product efficacy matters, helping to influence decision-making and investments related to efficacy & scientific communications.
More about the role
We are looking for the candidate who will have the experience and personal acumen to:
- Lead the efficacy research by proposing innovative products and ingredients concepts with a consumer-focused lens, making scientific communication & story-telling appealing and on-trend to support launches and portfolio animation
- Understand the global cosmetic market and anticipate the demands in our different markets worldwide when it comes to product efficacy, keeping abreast of trends
- Propose active ingredients, testing plan and methodology with the cross-functional team for NPD, delivering within timeline
- Define and track KPIs for the division
- Develop and nurture a network of strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders to maximise the division capabilities: testing houses, suppliers, developers, academic partners
- Inspire creativity through collaboration, foster a culture of continuous improvement and training within the internal team, promoting awareness and engagement through education and advocacy
- Represent The Body Shop on scientific communications, including journalists, NGOs, retail teams, suppliers, scientific community, start-ups, etc.
What we look for
You are an innovator and a leader with a deep knowledge of products efficacy principles, ingredients and biomolecules providing tangible efficacy to products, including skin and hair biology. You have built expertise in efficacy testing methods, consumer testing, clinical studies, protocols and statistical analysis, with a deep knowledge of consumer needs per skin/hair type and age range, and an understanding of trends in markets across the globe. You have excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external collaborators at all levels.
