Your role in a nutshell

Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to execute accurate and timely process of invoices and payments and ensure processes and controls are in place to secure full compliance with the group policies and practices, including SOX.

  • Management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team to ensure all deadlines and requirements are met - provide clear guidance to the team and prioritise tasks when there are competing priorities and during periods of intensive workload. Ensure team processes are monitored and adhered to, to support and align with SLAs, KPI’s and controls
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the Accounts Receivable ledger globally - provide effective credit control by ensuring any overdue ledger debts and disputed debts are reviewed and effective action taken to minimise any exposure, including debtors provisioning
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the Accounts Payable ledger for all centralised AP markets, approval of payment proposals and driving payments within agreed payment terms
  • Responsible for overseeing the month end closure of the AP and AR sub-ledgers, and completion of standard reporting; reconciliations and control check lists on a timely basis
  • Responsible for compliance with SOX and other internal controls in the AR and AP function
  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of AR and AP and policies, process and controls internationally, managing both people and system implications
  • Ensure customer and vendor queries and complaints are managed effectively and in a timely manner
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and consistency in AR and AP processes across all markets

What we look for

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Full or part qualified ACA or ACCA desirable
  • Previous experience of working in a Financial Shared Service or global financial environment required
  • Experience of working in an FMCG/Retail environment
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Knowledge of SAP/BW or similar systems
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office with an intermediate/advanced understanding of Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills combined with accuracy and attention to detail
