Your role in a nutshell

We are looking to recruit a Compatibility, stability and bulk making Laboratory Technician to become the support function in Research and development Laboratory.

More about the role

To support with Raw material stock management and calibration of laboratory equipment Bulk making, filling and labelling Ensuring the laboratory safety and tidiness, SOP preparations and amendment of current laboratory documentation.  All day to day laboratory tasks that support lab maintenance and good laboratory practise.

Stability testing, compatibility testing: To prepare and fill samples in order to complete required testing as specified by Packaging Technologist or Senior Compatibility Laboratory Technician. To provide detailed feedback of results and early warning of negative effects noted during test period. To develop and maintain the testing protocols. To develop and populate the testing database Product Vision. To monitor and record the effect of chemicals on plastics and develop a lookup system to reduce risk.

What we look for

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in related science. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Biology, Food or Cosmetic Science
  • Experience and understanding of aspects of packaging testing and the required test equipment
  • Experience and understanding of aspects of formulation testing and the required test equipment
  • Product awareness
  • Good knowledge of relevant methods (chemistry, formulas, physical chemistry, substrates, raw materials, galenical, development stages, etc.)
  • Awareness of quality/safety rules and procedures (chemical hazards, etc.)
  • Ability to analyse and interpret results in a reliable, thorough, relevant and independent manner
