Your role in a nutshell

You will be leading the management of safety-related data on raw materials and finished products.

Provide on-time, scientifically robust, dossiers of information, to support safety assessment applications for new product launches and to maintain in-line product portfolio.

Proactively work with global regulatory teams and seek clarification regarding regulatory guidelines and regional requirements impacting clinical safety testing of the products. 

Maintain safety and environmental advice by in depth literature research, to ensure TBS guidance on RM positions and formula use can be maintained, summarize and present recommendations as required.

Represent formula safety within cross functional project teams and provides guidance as required on RM positions.

Assist with compiling information dossiers to submit externally for generation of Cosmetic Product Safety Reports to meet EU and global regulations.

Responsible for maintaining the formula safety process up to date and submit to line manager for validation.  Support R&D formula team in deciding on appropriate in-vitro and in-vivo tests to support formula safety and safety-related claims.

Responsible for management of Disengagement Operational project by tracking raw materials for safety, environmental, sustainability concerns, advising on risk assessments, summarizing the impact of these raw materials on TBS portfolio, liaise with R&D formula team to plan re-formulations to appropriate deadlines where required.

What we look for

M.Sc. in Toxicology (or a closely related field or relevant training) is essential!

Relevant experience supporting safety, regulatory, or another R&D function.

Managing information and writing safety dossiers and study reports is desirable.

Competencies required

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish professional working relationships with colleagues.
  • Must have attention to detail, ability to prioritize, think independently, implement solutions and meet timelines.
  • Good computer skills are essential. Must have expertise in working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, bonus points for basic knowledge of statistics is a plus!
  • Must maintain a high degree of flexibility to accommodate fluctuating project and study scheduling requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as within the team.
