About your role

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract covering Maternity leave to be based at our new office in London Bridge. Reporting into the Head of Fragrance Development, you will be responsible for leading on multiple fragrance projects which will include the fragrance development and innovation for different categories including fine fragrance.

More about the role
  • Lead all relevant areas of fragrance development (NPD/OPS projects) from the marketing brief to the 1stproduction batch:
  • Brief our fragrance houses to develop the best fragrance in terms of quality, performance, innovation and price in the timing, in respect of Enrich not Exploit and R&I Strategy guidelines
  • Ensure flow of information and samples are done on time from fragrance houses
  • Anticipate fails and include plan B in retroplanning when relevant.
  • Ensure all the test results are available on time (stability, compliancy) to commit with the agreed timing with our sub-contractors, TBS R&I and brand team
  • Create, send and compile all official documents (submission files, olfactive pyramids)
  • Alert line manager + propose an action plan + evaluation impact on timing / cost, for any failure due to fragrance.
  • Inform all your key internal partners on the progress of the project (Brand team, Dev team)
  • Propose fragrance innovations and trends that can support any “supra of performance” perceived by consumers
  • Ensure the R&I related quality and purchasing from fragrance houses and connect to purchasing policy
  • Promote knowledge sharing by acting as an enabler and sounding board in your field of expertise


What we look for

You will have extensive Fragrance Development experience, excellent communications skills and strong stakeholder management.  Olfactive evaluation skills and training are essential and any perfumery courses like  ISIPCA is desirable.
