Your role in a nutshell

We are looking for an ambitious, driven and technically minded SEO specialist to operate within the Global function of the Digital Marketing Team, assisting the Global SEO Manager. This individual will have experience of on-page, technical and off-page optimisation and have worked in a company dynamic consisting of multiple stakeholders to increase growth and meet commercial targets.

More about the role

  • Liaise with the Product Team to stay abreast of website releases/test functional updates to ensure SEO readiness  
  • Ensure best practice SEO is communicated and implemented throughout the business
  • Work closely with web development to ensure technical fixes impacting SEO are prioritised in the implementation queue
    • Escalate all high priority/high impact technical recommendations within the business
  • Use a variety of 3rd party SEO tools to assess and monitor SEO performance
  • Work with SEO agency to ensure market SOWs are met and delivered to the markets
  • Report to Global SEO Manager ensuring all strategic deliverables are implemented across all elements of SEO
  • Create metadata for all new landing pages across the site adhering to Google’s guidelines
  • Work closely with PPC to increase efficiencies/synergise/test-and-learn to form a holistic search strategy
  • Maximise local SEO visibility via a multitude of local search platforms including Yext and Google My Business to increase footfall and ensure virtual storefront accuracy
  • Support in the delivery of a market focused SEO strategy that produces a clear roadmap of technical and content driven initiatives to drive traffic, optimise page visibility and sales growth across all markets.
  • Identify keyword opportunities for acquisition through regular keyword research and data analysis by market and develop content briefs where there are opportunities to increase rankings, domain authority through editorial coverage for health and beauty related searches.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, algorithm changes and trends in digital marketing and SEO landscape at a local level.

  • Experience of working in a scaled, omnichannel environment. An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to develop strong relationships, across multiple different geographical markets. Experience of working in a matrix organisation is essential.
  • A team leader who is also prepared to roll up their sleeves and be hands on in the delivery of the strategy. A highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset who has the determination to make a positive difference to the company.
  • A confident communicator and presenter who can build relationships with ease.
  • A subject matter expert with experience of working on global search programmes either with an in-house or agency team
  • Data driven and numerate. Outstanding analytical skills with strong experience of interpreting commercial results and drawing conclusions.  Experience of using analytics packages such as Google Analytics to investigate and interpret channel performance. Further experience of using customer data and insight to develop campaigns.
  • A good understanding of other performance marketing channels e.g. Affiliates, Paid Social, Display, CRM, and also Ecommerce best practice and optimisation techniques.
  • Disciplined and organised yet flexible in style. Experience of being proactive and responsive to changing trading patterns. Able to support the execution of regular short-term promotional tactics. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
