Your role in a nutshell

We’re a constantly evolving CRM team testing the limits of what we can do with email. 

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on team member who loves to geek out on systems, data, and the best emails in our inboxes.

This role is responsible for the day to day execution of The Body Shop CRM and Email marketing strategies in support of retail stores and ecommerce. In addition to design and coding of all customer emails and templates based on best practices while meeting customer expectations.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Manage the email process workflow from beginning to end; oversee the execution of the email calendar and approved strategy
  • Participate in creative +CRM brainstorm meetings,  write creative briefs, pull creative assets needed for development
  • Obtain timely approvals on email content from business stakeholders
  • Responsible for the setup and QA of email campaigns.  Work with email vendors to ensure timely delivery and flawless execution. Own implementation of testing calendar.
  • Pull reporting on email campaign performance on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis
  • Master the use of email and CRM technologies, databases and platforms, pursue improvement options.
  • Own all digital marketing data requests
  • Develop regular reporting on email marketing program and develop recommendations and strategies to optimize current program
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly indicate quality of final analysis
  • Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways (ie, develop regular decks on customer insights in advance of campaigns)
  • Develop customer communication strategy at the event level and create a corresponding calendar that meets revenue objectives and customer journey needs
  • Plan out updates to trigger programs to align with event strategy
Other Responsibilities
  • Design various images, messages, templates while coding and testing messages and templates fo rendering.
  • Code in HTML. CSS knowledge preferred
  • Utilize typography, usability, layout and responsive design principles within standard design tools (e.g. Photoshop and Dreamweaver, InDesign and Illustrator preferred)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimizing the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace.  Report potential risks, near misses and real accidents to relevant managers.
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure the timely payment of invoices
What we look for
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred (graphic design, web design, email HTML coding, etc.)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with sensitivity to confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver detail-oriented results in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient using Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with SAP, Responsys, Siebel, and Google Analytics preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with standard design tools (e.g. Photoshop and Dreamweaver, InDesign and Illustrator preferred)
