But how do we ensure our fantastic products are found online by our existing customers and positioned in front of new customers across the globe?

THAT is exactly the remit of this role, and we need a true industry expert in Search Engine Optimisation to be accountable for the overall performance of the North America strategy as part of the Global Search team.

Reporting to the Global Head of Search Marketing as part of the Performance Marketing team you’ll be the main point of contact for the delivery of cohesive search initiatives and tactics to drive growth and to meet commercial targets for our North American markets.

The role

Strategy: Ownership for the delivery of a market focused SEO strategy that produces a clear roadmap of technical and content driven initiatives. It will be your recommendations (in partnership with our Search agency) that will be implemented and measurable locally for how they drive traffic, optimise page visibility and sales growth across North America.

Analytics: By using a variety of 3rd party tools to assess competitor activity and identify opportunities to grow share of voice you’ll effectively drive through technical and content initiatives to optimise traffic and sales to meet our commercial objectives and OKRs.

Your involvement will include the identification of keyword opportunities and content – all designed to increase rankings and domain authority, particularly for health and beauty related searches. This will be complemented by collaboration with the wider Search &Digital Hub teams to improve the efficiency and organic growth of digital marketing by close monitoring of search volume of paid and organic keywords and categories at local market level.

Vision: As an expert in SEO you will actively inform and educate stakeholders regarding the role, purpose and benefits of SEO, keeping up to date with developments through activity within your network and connections. No changes in algorithms, trends or technical developments will escape your watchful eye.

We need a creative outlook and a willingness to think differently to keep us way ahead of the competition and to secure a greater share of wallet. This role gives the opportunity to be disruptive and innovative.

Relationships: Underpinning your SME status will be your well-developed relationship management and building skills that will be called upon to work with third parties (search engines, feed providers and agencies). You’ll test new organic search opportunities and optimisation techniques. You’ll also build and maintain relationships with partners and carry out testing of SEO tools, resources and techniques.

Collaborative working with your peers and senior stakeholders will require a confident and assured communication style and the ability to build effective workable business relationships – all with a close eye on the business priorities.

 

What else do we look for

  • Experience of working in a scaled, omnichannel environment. An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to develop strong relationships, across multiple different geographical markets. Experience of working in a matrix organisation is essential.

•            A highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset who has the determination to make a positive difference to the company.

•            A confident communicator and presenter who can build relationships with ease.

•            Demonstrable experience of delivering incremental revenue, profit and ROI from a global organic search programme.

•            A subject matter expert with experience of managing a global search programme either with an in-house or agency team; working knowledge of SEO and 3rd party proprietary tools

•            Data driven and numerate. Outstanding analytical skills with strong experience of interpreting commercial results and drawing conclusions.  

•            A good understanding of other performance marketing channels e.g. Affiliates, Paid Social, Display, CRM, and also Ecommerce best practice and optimisation techniques.

•            Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Fluency in French is desirable.
