Your role in a nutshell

Reporting to the AVP Wholesale North America, in the role of Key Account Manager, you will be accountable for our key wholesale retail customers, Ulta, who contributes to more than 50% of the wholesale business. You will be responsible to work very closely with the team of Ulta for building a short- and long-term customer joint business plan to deliver on The Body Shop’s (TBS) specific marketing and commercial targets and objectives for the customer, while delivering sales volumes in line with TBS’s targets/budgets, and pre-agreed investment levels.

Support the implementation of the North America wholesale strategy and help to shape it and build key account plans.  

Further develop and strengthen our relationship with Ulta and work at the executive level with the Ulta team to grow our business and identify key opportunities on how to develop and grow market share/volume. 

Conduct effective customer negotiations of portfolio, cost prices, promotional calendars, investment levels, and trading terms including all contractual agreements. 

Work closely with Marketing-, Finance-, and Operations teams to ensure key brand strategies and targets are met and flag possible risks. Also ensure that all internal stakeholders are knowledgeable of the active assortment and future listings/delistings for the customer. 

Plan the sales demand and work closely with supply chain to forecast customer volumes for core products and NPD’s, and secure inventory for supporting the business needs in line with global and regional market plans. Manage the customer’s inventory levels to ensure minimum risk to out of stocks. 

Develop a strong collaborative business planning with the customer in line with strategy of both organizations, and manage day-to-day contact and regular account field visits both to customer’s offices and sales locations. Approximately 20% - 30% of the time will require travelling for meetings as well as market visits.

Work closely with the immediate wholesale team as well as key external stakeholders to ensure a brilliant store execution through well planogramed store fixtures, correct assortment, and the right level of stock. Work with the customer to maximize the TBS brands’ space opportunity.
