Your role in a nutshell

As an FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for the monthly management reporting and standardizing the region reporting formats. You will be working with markets FP&A Analysts to identify any risks and opportunities in terms of APCD across the region through the review of monthly closing reports and P&L. Your role will also be supporting the marketing team to manage central A&P spending as well as managing COGS and freight cost, identifying unusual cost increase/decrease across the regions and supporting the budgets/forecast consolidation.

Your primary Accountabilities will be:

  • Preparation of P&L and respective reports for Budget and Forecast reviews
  • Support and consolidate review in the analysis of P&L in the planning cycle
  • Partner with marketing team in building and reviewing of central A&P budget
  • Provide monthly analysis commentary on central A&P
  • Support on any ad hoc analysis, either for new business development, NPD and or P&L simulation 
  • Support and drive process improvement in areas of:-
    • Commercial finance, develop robust and standardize tools on monthly performance review and planning reviews
    • Financial control, management of R&O, business review and M&E related to APCD
  • Provide financial information to the retail team regarding the profitability and to drive improved productivity and profitability in their stores.
  • Manage the rolling forecast and required quarterly re-forecast submissions.

What we look for

Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of Internal Control, Financial Accounting & Reporting, and Financial Analysis 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and work to deadlines 
  • Proven strong experience of process improvements implementation
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Power BI 
  • Proven experience of working in a hands-on role and in a changing environment 
  • An effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across functions to ensure engagement is successful with key stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP and some POS systems
  • Understanding of cross-functional dynamics of a retail business

 

Qualifications: 

  • Finance qualification (CPA, ACCA) and 4 – 6 years post qualified experience in Finance
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft core programs including excel, word, power point including pivot tables and databases
  • Fluent English 
  • Excellent MS excel skills

Applies costing methods to model and evaluate performance: PRI, cost benefit analysis, distribution, and knowledge of entire supply chain

Develops budgets and financial forecasts (trends) in collaboration with business: P&L, overhead, balance sheet, and working capital 
Understands how these elements relate to achievement of overall business & financial targets
