Your role in a nutshell
This is a 6 months contract role for maternity cover.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position is responsible for leading the financial planning process and provide valuable analysis and suggestions to support the achievement of market profitability plans and business objectives.

Budgeting and Financial Trend (FT)
- Responsible for annual budgeting / FT process of the market, from timeline to financial tools for bottom up submission and system loading.
- Lead the preparation of Budget / FT reporting and presentation to APAC and Global submission.
- Provide financial analysis and commercial planning (e.g. KPI, Category SOB) output in collaboration with retail operations and commercial team.
- Responsible for preparation and submission of high level P&L re-forecast with supporting assumptions.
Financial Closing
- Responsible for the review of P&L variance prior to WD3 closing timeline, highlight and query unusual trend to ensure accuracy of month end close.
- Timely turn-around of month-end reporting for the market and Global.
- Lead the preparation of Monthly Business Review presentation.
- Drive efficiency of month end reporting and provide value added commentaries in conjunction with in market month end reports.
Sales Reporting
- Responsible for update and circulation of weekly sales reporting to all business stakeholders.
- Maintenance of sales report and updating of daily sales with close collaboration with Head of Retail Operations.
- Loading of monthly turnover forecast to APAC and Global.
- Responsible for the upload and maintenance of ecommerce retail sales data.
Analysis
- Provide financial analysis that will improve business performance and spur profitability growth.
- Highlight risk and opportunities, specifically in areas of sales productivity, profitability of stores, discount and margin analysis.
- Support Head of Finance on ad-hoc analysis as and when required.
Store Development
- Manage the property appraisal and investment decision making process.
- Drive efficiency of business case (BC) preparation process with global template.
- Provide advice and guidance on simulation output for each BC.
Business Partnering
- Support the achievement of market objectives through the lens of financial analytics.
- Provide support on the tracking of Marketing spend commitments through actualised expense and POs.
- Recommend and implement good control practices within the business.
What we look for
Experience
- Ideally 8 years experience of working within a finance department
- Preferably from Retail / FMCG industry
Qualifications
- Local accounting qualification, CA preferred
- Good knowledge of Microsoft core programs - excel, word, power point including pivot tables and databases
Technical & Professional Competencies required
