Your role in a nutshell

You'll work with the Finance Director in the financial management of all Canadian Retail Channels of The Body Shop Canada. You'll  partner with the Executive team & relevant stakeholders on annual budgets, forecasts, trend updates, and reporting and analysis as well as department heads to ensure effective cost control via regular budget meetings.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting all key financial processes (Budget, Forecasts/Reforecasts, Reporting) to build solid and compelling financial plans that meet business expectations
Provide excellent support to department heads by preparing accurate and timely budgets and forecasts, monitoring results versus budget / forecast, and providing a thorough analysis and investigating variances while identifying risks and opportunities
Support the monthly financial processes, including preparation of accrual entries, variance reports and analysis with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
Support in capital planning, capex budgeting, and store proforma modelling
Assist in monthly forecasting and tracking for consolidated reporting to Global Finance team
Assist in presentation preparation and data gathering for Executive team

What we look for
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; CPA designation preferred
3-5 years of related FP&A or financial reporting experience; Retail or CPG industry experience preferred
Experience in / knowledge of key areas of retail business, including margin analysis, supply chain, labour budgeting, etc.
Strong modelling skills and advanced skills/degree of comfort with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems, preferably SAP Business Objects
Strong prioritization skills; proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
Results-oriented problem-solver who is flexible, collaborative, proactive and shows excellent judgment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization including non-finance personnel and executive level
