Your role in a nutshell

An exciting permanent opportunity for a Property Finance Manager to join a progressive and talented finance team! 

Business partnering the Property Director and working closely with the wider Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for the financial accounting and FP&A of the UK & Irelands property portfolio.  With full balance sheet and P&L responsibility, 2 property analysts will assist this role in ensuring the timely and accurate accounting of all property costs under IFRS accounting standards and ensuring property payments are processed correctly.  Through strong business partnering you will help shape the annual budget and forecast across property costs and shape commercial decisions that impact the property portfolio.

More about the role

  • Responsibility for the construction, review and sign-off for all property management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet), ensuring accurate application of IFRS and SOX standards.
  • Responsibility for the execution of timely landlord payments alongside clear tracking and reporting of TBS arrears position.
  • Leading and developing a team of two payment administrators to ensure accurate and timely property payments whilst providing guidance on how to resolve any landlord account queries.
  • Drive process improvement to gain efficiencies in the payment and account reconciliation process.
  • Forecasting on a routine basis all property costs, proactively highlighting and managing any risk and opportunities.
  • Business partnering with the Property Director to steer decision making through solid financial insights and providing clarity on the key drivers of the performance for Retail Stores.
  • Provide key financial insights to build the future roadmap for the store estate, considering closures, openings and re-location opportunities.
  • Ensure all processes adhere to SOX compliance.

What we look for

  • Ability to develop and manage efficient processes and internal controls.
  • Ability to accurately apply accounting knowledge and judgement.
  • Business partnering skills to support the agreed strategy, influence decision making, drive agenda points and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong MS Excel skills – the ability to manage, manipulate and understand large amounts of data in a concise manner alongside strong financial modelling skills.
  • Application of accounting standards and methodology.
  • Payment processes and account reconciliation.

  • SAP.
  • Fully qualified: ACCA / CIMA.
