Your role in a nutshell

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Retail Store Development Project Specialist to join The Body Shop in a full time capacity at our Chadstone Head Office. Reporting to the Property Manager, this individual contributor position will be managing the end to end store development projects for new stores and upgrades for our stores across Australia and New Zealand.

More about the role

  • Implement agreed project outcomes, new store workshop roll outs, and key shop fit projects in line with concept documentation & commercial KPIs
  • Responsible for leading and managing all store opening, relocations, and closures in line with the brand guidelines, within budget and to deadline
  • Stay abreast of property leasing status and update schedules and planners accordingly.
  • Facilitate the tender process for all potential vendors in coordination with Indirect Buying.
  • Pilot, implement and maintain communication updates to all stakeholders.
  • Manage all internal and external stakeholders including RDM’s, shopfitting partners, consulting teams and contractors to ensure company standards and specifications are being met

What we look for



  • Previous experience as a Store Development Coordinator within the retail space
  • Ability to control negotiations with vendors /RDM’s/leasing agents in relation all shop fits works
  • Have a good capacity to execute strategic presentation for store design concepts in line with brand vision and company strategy
  • Management capability related to contracts for store openings
