Your role in a nutshell

The Ecommerce Specialist is a 6 month contracted role with possibility of extension, and will be responsible for various aspects of campaign/event planning and user experience. Reporting to the Ecommerce Manager, the Ecommerce Specialist will plan website updates based on campaigns, new product launches and site maintenance by closely coordinating with the Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure brand consistency. This candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the website ensuring accuracy of creative, promotions, merchandising, and marketing, ensuring events are executed with an optimized user experience. In addition, the candidate will continuously seek opportunities for further enhancements using testing and personalization as part of both global and local initiatives.

  • Work closely with creative agency to develop site creative
  • Manage the content calendar for site creative required for campaigns and ongoing site development
  • Support ad hoc site creative and website direction
  • Find opportunities in user experience to personalize and test
  • Work closely with the Web Producer, providing direction on event plans
  • Maintain thebodyshop.ca internal search
  • Use testing, UX and reporting tools to strategically plan, implement and report on local tests and experiences while working closely with the Web Producer
  • Build local testing roadmaps with the goal of improving customer experience and conversion
  • Lead site audit sessions with the Ecommerce team to find opportunities for optimizations
What we look for
  • 1-2 years previous experience in Campaign Planning/UX role for ecommerce companies
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines and juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Must be a proactive and highly motivated team player who is detail-oriented, deadline-driven and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills
  • Passion for retail and/or the cosmetics/beauty industry
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Experience with website merchandising/UX design
  • Understand sense of urgency & prioritization
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, and Photoshop).
  • Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, copywriting and editing
  • UX tools/software
  • Google Analytics
